Calling All Artists

Yes, YOU!

Everyone has a creative side; it’s part of our gifts and who we are, right?

So is the joy of sharing those talents with others! I loved the idea of little colorful boxes promoting the Take One or Leave One idea as it relates to sharing within the community.  Be it art books, supplies, craft kits, or practice sketches (cookies are welcome also from the bakers!); small works of creativity can bring a smile to someone’s face.  Click on my HeART Box and learn how it got started from a Girl Scout troop donation before I moved earlier this year.

What surprised me most was that this little pastel colored box has been such a wonderful connection to the community. As a new resident, many people have come by, stopped to visit, browsed at, walked to, parked out front of, biked, started a conversation by, donated within, trick or treated at and expressed how much they LOVE the concept! I’ve made so many new art friends with this simple gesture and that makes my heart so happy!

I’m putting the word out to the Universe that I’m accepting artists’ work to share in the HeART (Healing ART) box. Any type of art and any age artist is welcome. I’m always encouraging young artists and even my hospice clients have shared their projects! So if you’re local, knock on the door and say hello or please send some happy mail this way!

The motto of many a Free Little Art Gallery (FLAG) is, “Make Art, Take Art, Leave Art, Love Art!”

HeART Box in front of my home studio has been such a wonderful connection to the community!

From my heart to yours,
